On a statistical level, every small town across America has the same set of quirks. The one family that becomes so important to keeping the economy alive, no one really questions what they get up to in their spare time. The mayor that tries to keep a stiff upper lip for the locals while embezzling just enough to finally leave the town behind him. The sheriff that does his best but has become jaded to too much. That one place the kids are dared to go, but adults walk past and avoid thinking about. The old woman that knows a lot more of the town history than anyone else seems too.
Every town has its share of secrets and the Pacific Northwest has them in spades. But this particular town’s secrets have attracted some outside attention from certain groups. People that like to find things out, want to change things, or maybe people are just a little too curious. And maybe sometimes “people” is a little too generous of a descriptor.
And so you’ve come to Sutter’s Haven, whether of your own free will or at the behest of one of the World of Darkness’ many groups, looking into the strangeness of this small fishing community. But what you find there, may end up have very far reaching consequences.
